After being acquired by Marriott in 2015, Delta Hotels -- a budget staple in Canada -- is debuting its first American outpost in Florida, just minutes away from Orlando's theme parks. It isn't your average value outpost, either: What stands out most about the 241-room Delta Orlando Lake Buena Vista is that it's strikingly sleek -- a marked contrast from other low-priced properties in the area.

One of the first things guests will notice is the hotel's glossy lobby, featuring contemporary white marble floors with chic couches and a bar. Other notable features include a heated pool complete with cabanas, and several eateries for sit-down meals or on-the-go items.

The hotel appeals to all ages, but especially families will feel at home, thanks to the on-site kids' area equipped with Foosball and video and board games; a splash zone for little ones will open this summer. Visiting the theme parks? Hitch a ride to Walt Disney World on the hotel's complimentary shuttle.

The opening of Delta Orlando Lake Buena Vista is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the brand's expansion beyond the Canadian borders. In the coming years, travelers will be able to find Delta’s standard of budget service and style at a total of 80 hotels worldwide, including at ones in New York and Shanghai.

Nightly rates are from $87 per night.
