What You Need to Know

The Look of Millennium Downtown New York

It's All in the Details

The monolithic, 588-foot glass-and-steel skyscraper fits right in with its Financial District neighbors. Inside, the look is contemporary, if somewhat corporate, with lots of glossy wood and stone surfaces in the lobby. The rooms and suites are also straightforward in design, with wood furniture and a neutral color palette ceding the spotlight to the fantastic panoramas of the New York City skyline through huge windows. Depending on the room, you might get a view of the Brooklyn Bridge, the downtown skyline, or the white ribbed roof of the Santiago Calatrava-designed Oculus transit hub.

The Vibe of Millennium Downtown New York

Businesslike during the week and more relaxed on the weekends, when the scales tip toward leisure travelers. There’s not much in the way of common areas — just the lobby — so expect to spend most of your time exploring the city. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Who Will Love Millennium Downtown New York

Anyone who needs to be in Lower Manhattan for business or to explore this thriving part of the city will find the Millennium a convenient base of operations. With reasonable room rates and a variety of suite options, it’s also good for families in search of value in this very expensive city.

Who Might Not Love Millennium Downtown New York

The hotel lacks a restaurant, bar, or spa (there is an indoor pool, but it is currently closed), so those looking for a full complement of hotel amenities may be disappointed by the Millennium. That said, there are plenty of dining and entertainment options within steps of the hotel.
