MSC Cruises has announced their latest culinary partnership. The line is teaming up with celebrity chef Roy Yamaguchi, founder of Roy’s Restaurants and star of "Hawaii Cooks With Roy Yamaguchi." The Japanese-American chef's first restaurant at sea will debut on MSC's newest ship, MSC Seaside, when it launches in December 2017.

Dishes at the Pan-Asian restaurant will range from traditional Japanese to Malaysian to Thai Korean. There will also be a sushi, sashimi and raw bar, as well as teppanyaki grills where chefs will cook in view of the diners.

Yamaguchi isn't just lending his name to the project. The chef will be personally involved in conceptualizing every element of the restaurant, from creating the recipes and selecting wine pairings to choosing the chinaware, the music and even the paper stock for the menus.

MSC Seaside will cruise year-round from Miami to the Caribbean. Other features on board will include a wraparound promenade, elevators with panoramic ocean views and an interactive water park with slides that jut out over the side of the ship.
