One Resort, Three Experiences: Something for Everyone in Aruba

Fresh off a large-scale renovation earlier this year, the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba is not what you’ve come to expect from the global mega-chain. The brand’s standards are still there -- its signature green sprinkled throughout the property and commitment to family-friendliness -- but the resort’s spectacular oceanfront views and longest stretch of beach on the island are just as inviting to those looking for a romantic escape or group getaway. No matter which three of these categories your vacation falls into, you’ll return home dreaming of the soft white-sand beaches.

Family Fun
We know the costs of a family vacation can start to add up, and planning activities while there can be hectic, which is why the Holiday Inn Aruba is perfect for easing those worries. With no resort fee and an all-inclusive option that includes meals, snacks, and local beverages, as well as taxes and gratuities, there’s no need to stress about racking up a hefty restaurant bill. A host of entertainment and activities are also available daily through the activity center, including weekly carnival or circus shows to keep the kids entertained (and adults, too). Getting there doesn’t have to break your budget, either , as JetBlue offers the largest number of low costs flights from the U.S.

If parents need some time away, there's an on-site kid’s club open from 10:00am to 5:00pm every day for children ages 4-11 years old. Here, your kids will stay active with sports, board games, and even learn a bit of the local language: Papiamento. Arranging a nanny through the resort is also an option if you and your loved one would like a night to yourselves.

Romantic Getaway
You don't have to travel with children to fully take advantage of the resort's vast amenities. The Holiday Inn Aruba offers a non all-inclusive Romantic Escape package, featuring breakfast or dinner for two, a bottle of wine in your room, and late checkout. Be sure to enjoy a romantic beachfront dinner at the Sea Breeze restaurant, serving local cuisine from executive chef Imre Maraczi. Although there are no adult-only pools, you can still unwind in a private cabana at the secluded Sea Tower pool and jacuzzi, or on the beach in your own personal palapa.

The resort has a host of romantic activities, with couples massages at the on-site Etnika spa, as well as snorkeling, diving, and boat rides available through companies like Pelican Adventures, just steps away. A renowned favorite is the sunset catamaran cruise that offers unlimited drinks and dancing while gliding through the calm Caribbean waters for just $45 per person. A friendly tip: Try not to schedule your getaway when school is out, this way the resort will be more relaxing without an influx of families.

Group Vacation
If a group vacation is what you're planning for, whether a girlfriend getaway or some time away with your closest friends, there are plenty of options for you as well. Instead of opting for the all-inclusive package, you are able to book a room-only rate -- we recommend an ocean view room for breathtaking daytime and sunset vistas from your private balcony. This way you have more flexibility to explore the dining and nightlife just across the road at the Palm Beach Plaza. If you'd like to explore more of the island, just visit the on-site rental car kiosk for easy access to an assortment of vehicles to tool around town in. Bonus: Parking is also free.

The resort's three outdoor swimming pools, three jacuzzis, and three tropical bars ensure there will be enough room for you and your friends to enjoy some fun in the sun. Or, if shopping is more your thing, you can browse through the ground level mini-mall where you'll find everything from souvenirs to high-end jewelry and stylish clothes. You may also want to try your luck inside at the on-site casino before leaving this paradise island.
