A trip to the Catskills is often filled with beautiful scenery and plenty of outdoor activities. The region — a beloved vacation destination for New Yorkers searching for some R&R — is teeming with dynamic boutique hotels, including the recently renovated Bluebird Hunter Lodge, which is part of Bluebird by Lark Hotels. Located in the resort town of Hunter, this one-of-a-kind property is meant to be a modern take on a '70s ski lodge, where all-season adventure(s) await.

What You Need to Know

The Look of Bluebird Hunter Lodge

It's All in the Details

From the outside, the rustic hotel doesn't look like much; however, you can't always judge a book by its cover. Inside the natural light-filled lobby, worn leather sofas and chairs are nestled together near a wood-burning fireplace. Meanwhile, each room is retro-inspired with wooden furnishings, chic green accent walls, plush plaid blankets, and, of course, beautiful views of the surrounding vistas and lush greenery. Some accommodations also have private balconies that face the mountains. For even more space, book one of the loft suites or chalets, which have a private deck, full kitchen, and living room.

After returning for the evening, guests can often be seen enjoying the view outside on one of the lawn chairs. Also, don't miss the Hunter Tavern, the perfect place for guests to take in the mountain views, sip cocktails, and toast s'mores by the fire.
