WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
At Courtyard by Marriott Guatemala City, located 10 minutes from La Aurora International Airport and right in the heart of the Financial and Business District of Guatemala City, this Marriott property is new to open and features all the bells and whistles of fresh property with a few extra perks. Rooms are outfitted with white duvets, soft grey touches, and pops of artwork. There are plenty of outlets, and the "lounge around sofa" with a moveable side table. But it's the lobby where the action happens. You'll find a smattering of comfy nooks, many punctuated with local art. There are thoughtfully designed modern media pods to be used as a private space for small presentations or even for watching a soccer match with a few friends. It's here that you'll find the property's restaurant Centro, where you can sit down for a bite or take your Guatemalan snack and beer to enjoy outside in the lush courtyard.
The crowd here tends to be a mix of hip and young, but you'll also see a fair amount of suits. The lobby is abuzz with laptops--and even the sleekly-designed sofas have outlets.

Those looking for romance or a bed-and-breakfast style property, this isn't your scene.
The modern comfort and affordability of the rooms make them a standout among others in the city. We also love the enormous, textile artwork from local Sylvia Denburg. And one more thing: This is the first Courtyard we've seen with a spa menu, offered in each room for on-call service.
Bottled water, Wifi, a great gym, and an airport shuttle are included in the room rate.
