History runs deep at Weekapaug Inn, which is situated on Quonochontaug Pond in Rhode Island. The property dates back to 1899 when Frederick and Phebe Buffum opened the small inn for the beach-going community. And, while the original building was damaged by a hurricane, the couple rebuilt the charming inn, perched on a peninsula between two salt ponds, that is beloved by guests to this day.
