Sun- and fun-seeking travelers from all over flock to Miami in search of a good time — and with so many clubs, bars, and lounges to choose from, they’re guaranteed to have one. At the party-centric, aptly named Goodtime Hotel — brainchild of award-winning producer, singer, and songwriter Pharrell Williams and nightlife entrepreneur David Grutman — there’s lots of fun to be had right on-site, both day and night. It’s safe to say that travelers won’t need to leave the hotel to, well, have a good time or experience all the fun that Miami has to offer. Keep reading for our full review.

What You Need to Know

The Look of The Goodtime Hotel

It's All in the Details

The seven-story, 266-room property takes up an entire city block near bustling South Beach. The space is designed by Ken Fulk, known for his whimsical style. As such, you can expect plenty of pastels — hello, millennial pink — and Instagram-worthy Art Deco touches. Bespoke wallpaper, hand-painted murals, and vintage books add a homey touch. The lounge-like lobby is spectacular — and slightly kitschy — with palm tree-patterned wallpaper, striking white light fixtures, and a statement-making check-in desk decked out in palm tree accents. The outdoor area spans a whopping 30,000 square feet and features two tiled pools, retro-esque pink cabanas with scalloped edges, patterned daybeds, a beautiful tiled bar, and plenty of greenery. Strawberry Moon, the indoor-outdoor restaurant, features ‘50s-inspired design elements like turquoise walls, wicker chairs, patterned booths, and plush scalloped barstools. Accommodations are equally Instagram-worthy with a green and pink color palette and fun touches like pink rotary phones, custom curtains featuring hand-drawn sketches of faces, striking artwork, multicolored books, and hot pink floral arrangements.

The Vibe at The Goodtime Hotel

The Goodtime Hotel is a place to see and be seen. A communal space on the third floor — which includes a pink-hued library, a cafe, and Strawberry Moon — serves as the beating heart of the property. Cool, hipster-esque locals and travelers can be found here drinking, dining, or pecking away at their laptops. The pool area, on the other hand, is the place to party, complete with bottle service and live DJ performances.

Who Will Love The Goodtime Hotel

Hip, creative types who love a sceney, lively ambiance where the party seemingly never ends will feel right at home here.

Who Might Not Love The Goodtime Hotel

Travelers who prefer a tranquil place to rest their heads might want to seek alternate accommodations. Also, since rooms start at just 180 square feet, they may be on the small side for large groups or families.

Best Amenity at The Goodtime Hotel

The weekend pool parties are a highlight, as is the menu at Strawberry Moon, which features mouthwatering Mediterranean dishes like kebabs and mezze in a stylish setting. The hotel’s beach club, a five-minute walk away, is also a highlight: Here, guests can soak up the sun in style while relaxing on chaise lounges. Finally, we’d be remiss not to mention the spa, which offers holistic treatments with a fun twist, like the “Rose All Day Massage” that features rose-infused products to release endorphins while leaving you feeling relaxed.
