Good news for you Marriott Rewards Points holders: The hotel brand recently acquired the Atlantis, Paradise Island resort as part of its signature Autograph Collection. Now you can use your points for a stay at this iconic hotel, or earn them when you book your next getaway.

What’s the Autograph Collection? It’s Marriott’s rapidly growing exclusive portfolio of 60-plus independent hotels in locations across the globe. No generic-looking chains, here. Properties are situated throughout the United States, Europe, the Caribbean and South America, with further expansion planned for Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Marriott Rewards members can use points for any hotel under the Marriott umbrella — including the newly acquired Atlantis, Paradise Island. This property -- one of the biggest in the Caribbean -- is perfect for a family vacation. The 141-acre ocean-themed property boasts 40 restaurants, bars, and lounges, theme-park-worthy water slides, an aquarium, and a casino.

The property, owned by Brookfield Asset Management and independently managed, is expected to officially join the Autograph Collection in the fall.
