"I recently traveled to Terranea Resort on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. It's only a 40-minute drive from LAX but feels like you're on the Mediterranean coast of France or Spain. The weather was warm and sunny during the day and cool at night. The hiking trails were aromatic with sunflowers, rosemary, and sage; and the ocean was teeming with gray whales, who were making their annual migration up and down the California coast. Every evening I watched the sun set into the Pacific horizon. I unplugged from my devices and the media, and allowed the calming SoCal vibe to soothe my soul."

"I've just returned from a week at Walt Disney World (before its temporary closing on March 15), where nothing was out of the ordinary. Here, it was business as usual – everything you could expect from the Most Magical Place on Earth. Coronavirus was at the back of my mind, as I'm sure it was for my fellow guests, but I didn't let it spoil the trip, which was nearly a year in the making. Some of my favorite parts about the vacation was going back to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and seeing the reactions of my parents, who'd never seen this part of Disney's Hollywood Studios. I also rode the new Skyliner, which has been such a great addition to the resort. And, of course, I indulged in some delicious Dole Whip!"

I’m traveling to New Orleans this week. It’s crawfish season, so I’ll be eating as much as possible — with a cold Abita Strawberry in hand, of course. In addition, I just booked a trip to Cartagena for July (it’s my first visit to Columbia) and I’m so excited to explore the gorgeous architecture."

"On March 7, my husband and I returned from a two-week honeymoon in the South Pacific. Aside from it being our honeymoon, we were thrilled to explore multiple destinations that sat high on our bucket list — all in one trip. Of all the incredible experiences, our top two were bungee jumping in Queenstown and staying in an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora. We were really impressed by the health security protocols in the French Polynesia. Prior to landing, all passengers had to complete a health declaration, in addition to the standard immigration forms. Once on the ground in Papeete, health officials took every passenger's temperature. So far, the island nation hasn't detected a single case of coronavirus."

"I’m heading to Provincetown, Massachusetts the last week of July. It’s Family Week — the biggest event for gay families in the country — with lots of activities for children and social gatherings for gay dads. I’m very excited about this trip."

"I'm heading to Walt Disney World in June. I’ve been going to Disney every year since I was three months old! Walt Disney World is my second home (I could even argue my first home) and I definitely can't miss out on an opportunity to visit the happiest place on earth. Let the countdown begin..."
