Cruising jokes aside, when it comes to gay mega events at sea, Atlantis Events is tops in the market. Add this summer's four-year-low of the euro against the dollar and roundtrip airfares at an amazingly low $499 return, and you have a making of a great gay, wallet-friendly vacation when you book their 11-day Copenhagen to Amsterdam Baltic Cruise.

Departing on Holland America's Eurodam from Copenhagen on July 29th with two days and an overnight in regal St. Petersburg, and stops in Tallinn, Helsinki and super-gay-friendly Stockholm (check out its just-released Gay and Lesbian Guides), the cruise docks for a second overnight in Amsterdam on August 7th just in time for the climax of Europe's most raucous Pride celebration—and the only one to feature parade floats that actually float!

With no more Baltic Cruises scheduled till 2013, if you want to see the region's sights while enjoying the amenities, entertainment, circuity pool parties and top-class customer service amongst a wide-ranging coterie of mostly gay men, book now. Prices start at $1699 per person/double occupancy for Inside Staterooms to $4999 for Deluxe Verandah Suites. (Sorry, jet setters, the Penthouse Verandah Suites are all sold out.) Port taxes and prepaid gratuities add on an extra $280 and $115, respectively.

True savings come with the airfare: special negotiated rates with British Airways start at $499 roundtrip (plus ~$100 in taxes/fuel surcharge) from New York (JFK), Newark, and Boston. Additional gateway cities available. Travel is open-jaw to Copenhagen and from Amsterdam, July 24 to August 13th, should you want to extend your stay.

If this itinerary doesn't float your boat, Atlantis is currently offering discounts on its other 2010 cruise—plus airfare—as well, including Venice to Athens (Aug. 16-24, with stops in Dubrovnik, Istanbul, and Mykonos; $769 airfare) and Athens to Barcelona (Aug. 24-Sept. 2, with an overnight in Tel Aviv; $599 airfare), both aboard the brand new, ultra-luxe and massive 2,800-passenger Celebrity Equinox.
