What You Need to Know
The Look of Baker's Cay Resort Key Largo
Spanning 15 acres of a former pineapple plantation, Baker's Cay Resort Key Largo is a modern beachside property that combines a traditional Florida look (think seashells, teal and aqua colors, and plenty of light woods) with contemporary design. The lobby and surrounding areas feature floor-to-ceiling windows, which flood the space with light. Communal seating on white couches with yellow throw pillows adds to the tropical beach vibe inside.
All 200 rooms and suites were designed with sustainability in mind while highlighting local craftspeople. Each room features locally made bath amenities and custom tiles. Other sustainable features inside guest rooms include furniture made from responsibly harvested wood, reusable water bottles made from recycled plant fibers, fabric laundry bags, and the use of wooden room keys versus plastic. Most rooms have at least a partial view of the water, and all have a private patio with a comfortable sitting area to enjoy the island breeze.
Around the resort, guests will find plenty of areas for hanging out, including two waterfall pools, the beach, and bars and restaurants. Don't skip the beachside tiki bar, where frozen drinks are served in pineapples (seasonally) just steps from your lounge chair.
