What You Need to Know
The Look of Hotel Giraffe
The 72-room Hotel Giraffe is inspired by the architecture and design of the Modern Art period of the 1920s and ‘30s, but interpreted in a contemporary style. Inside the Grand Lobby, a piano waits to be played while guests lounge in cozy chairs and couches. Large floor-to-ceiling windows let plenty of natural light in while guests take in the view of the bustling street.
The rooms are cozy and chic thanks to the warm color palette of deep tans, browns, and garnet. Guest rooms feature antique chairs and original photos from the ‘20s and ‘30s. Most rooms have a Juliet balcony, some of which overlook Park Avenue.
Around the hotel, there are plenty of places to hang out and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat. No matter what time of day, The Grand Lobby always has fresh coffee, tea, soda, and snacks available. The seasonally open rooftop garden and bar is a great place to hang with friends while sipping a cocktail or glass of wine before heading out for the evening.
The Vibe of Hotel Giraffe
While the hotel is in a coveted NYC neighborhood, travelers will find that the hotel isn’t stiff or stuffy. The laid-back lobby is a comfortable place to hang out year-round and the staff are always happy to recommend things to do nearby.
Who Will Love Hotel Giraffe
Those on a budget looking for a cool and centrally located hotel will love this spot, as it offers a range of amenities usually found in more expensive hotels for a decent price.
Who Might Not Love Hotel Giraffe
Travelers looking for a more upscale or luxury getaway may want to stay elsewhere.
Best Amenity at Hotel Giraffe
The included continental breakfast that’s served from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. in the Grand Lobby is easily the best amenity. Grab a freshly baked pastry and a cup of coffee to get your day started on the right foot.
