What You Need to Know
The Look of MADE Hotel
Step off bustling West 29th Street in the stylish NoMad neighborhood and into the MADE Hotel lobby and you’ll feel instantly at ease thanks to the sleek and tranquil lobby area complete with warm woods, house plants, and minimalist black-and-white photography. Nab a seat on one of the midcentury-modern sofas or wingback chairs, or mingle with fashion peeps at the long wooden table with stools. The smell of coffee makes things extra cozy as the super stylish Paper coffee shop is only steps away.
The minimalist rooms and suites here are tranquil sanctuaries for catching up on R&R. Expect plenty of natural light courtesy of floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as warm wood floors, plush bedding, and pops of color in the form of indigo-hued Shibori pillows and blankets. Several rooms also have bonus features like private balconies, hand-carved stone sinks, hand-painted tile walls, and, in some cases, deep-soaking tubs.
The Vibe at MADE Hotel
All-around good vibes can be found throughout this buzzy, design-forward hotel, which feels effortlessly cool. In the a.m., the lobby area is filled with a fashion-y crowd and hipster-esque locals chugging coffee and pecking at their laptops. As the day goes on, the space transforms into a lively spot to sip cocktails by the bar. The all-day restaurant, Debajo, is another popular gathering place — and the tapas-inspired menu is not to be missed. Lastly, guests and locals can see and be seen at the 18th-floor bar and lounge, Good Behavior, which serves up tropical cocktails, beer, and wine in a greenery-filled space.
