Shoreditch is best known for its arty, buzzy vibe. The newest hotel in town, One Hundred Shoreditch, pays homage to the neighborhood it calls home with its vibrant ambiance and high-energy bars and restaurants, while the rooms and suites serve as tranquil sanctuaries. Ahead, our full review.
What You Need to Know
The Look of One Hundred Shoreditch
You can easily spot the hotel by the abundance of oriel windows along the exterior. And the interiors are equally cool: The lobby is outfitted with geometric wood sculptures, plenty of seating, and retro-esque lamps, which line the communal wooden table. Both the coffee shop and lobby bar offer a more relaxed setting, while the rooftop bar — which feels like it’s been plucked out of SoCal — offers a more playful aesthetic with its Instagram-worthy pink color scheme and lush greenery in the form of cacti and succulents. Downstairs, you’ll find the cocktail bar, Seed Library, a dimly lit and industrial-inspired space where you can sip cocktails in style.
The sun-drenched rooms and suites, on the other hand, were intentionally designed to offer respite from the buzzy vibe felt throughout the hotel. The neutral color palette only adds to the minimalist-chic aesthetic while the bespoke artwork and a tapestry wall add a pop of color and character.
