Large wooden doors and a red brick exterior beckon guests inside, where they’ll be in awe of the grand wooden staircase that leads upstairs. The Wort Hotel, which opened in 1941, feels like stepping back in time and into the Wild West thanks to design elements such as floor-to-ceiling wood paneling, roaring stone fireplaces, and cozy rooms and suites adorned with original Western-inspired artwork. The property is also home to one of Jackson Hole’s most beloved bars and live music venues, The Silver Dollar Bar and Showroom, named after the thousands of 1921 Morgan silver dollars that are inlaid into the bar.
The signature rooms at the hotel are 350 square feet, while the popular Western-Themed Suites feature more space with two bathrooms, a bedroom, and a separate living room. No matter what type of room you pick, the spaces are filled with rustic-esque touches, like wooden headboards and footboards that look like they were carved from a tree in one fell swoop.
