This 3,647-guest vessel, christened by the late, Queen Elizabeth II in 2015, is P&O Cruises' flagship. Designed by world-class interior design experts, Britannia has a stylish palette of black, cream, and bronze with hints of blue that give it a clean, crisp aesthetic. Passengers get their first sense of the dramatic architecture as they enter the three-deck atrium with its elegant, sweeping staircase dominated by "Star Burst" — a gorgeous art installation that's part sculpture, part chandelier. The ship underwent a minor refurbishment in late 2019.
What We Love
Impressive Fine Dining: Specialty restaurants include Epicurean for fine dining and afternoon tea, Sindhu for flavorful pan-Asian, and The Glass House for steak and seafood. Limelight Supper Club offers contemporary dinner theater and Market Café serves patisserie-style bites.
The Gorgeous Crystal Room: With its white leather chairs and glistening chandelier, this elegant room hosts decadent balls and performances by live bands and singers in the evening, as well as dance lessons during the day.
Best Known For
The Cookery Club: Led by a talented team of professional chefs, The Cookery Club helps passengers develop essential cooking techniques and presentation skills with plenty of hands-on instruction.
Suites and Singles: A range of sumptuous butler-serviced suites feature a lounge, a dressing area, and a wide balcony with lounger chairs. There are also 27 single cabins, some of which have a balcony.
Who It's Good For
Foodies: P&O's "Food Heroes" program offers a line-up of celebrity chefs who serve as line consultants and help craft the menus across the fleet. Their input is present in every dining venue and these personable chefs often sail as well, imparting their culinary expertise to passengers. On this ship, cooking master classes are offered by Marco Pierre White, Jose Pizarro, and others.
