MS Camargue has been cruising the Rhône for more than 20 years, and was built specifically to navigate narrow spots along the river. It joined the CroisiEurope fleet in 2015, and the line updated the outdated decor with a little help from Missoni Home — cabins are accented with the company's signature zig-zag patterns. The 104-passenger ship now sails both the Rhône and the Saône, departing out of Lyon.
All Cabins Have a View: Even if you're staying on the lower of the two decks, don't worry about missing out on the passing scenery. Upper cabins offer panoramic windows, but staterooms on the lower deck are above the water line, so you'll still be able to peer out at villages and daily life along the river.
Savvy Use of Space: Cabins may be on the smaller side — starting at 105 square feet for a single — but thanks to space-saving features such as retractable flat-screen TVs and folding shower doors, they seem much larger.
Anyone Who's Up for a River Cruise: This ship really feels inclusive. MS Camargue also has a disabled-accessible cabin on the upper deck, which is also where the restaurant and lounge are located, so the lack of an elevator is not a problem.
Solo Travelers: MS Camargue has four cabins designed for single passengers, and since there is no single supplement they're a great deal.
Fixed Menus: All meals are included, but there is just one option available at lunch and dinner. Let the staff know in advance if you have dietary restrictions and dishes can be customized.
