Western Sydney, Australia

Western Sydney is attracting more buzz ahead of the late-2026 debut of Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport. Ahead of the opening, the city of Parramatta, the region's central hub, has seen major investment in civic and cultural spaces, including Powerhouse Parramatta, the largest museum in NSW, and the revamped Parramatta Square, home to the PHIVE library and community hub. Nearby, improved river walks and public spaces along the Parramatta River improve pedestrian connections between Church Street — locally known as "Eat Street" thanks to an abundance of bars, restaurants, and cafes — and waterfront areas near CommBank Stadium, making the district easier and more enjoyable to explore on foot.
