The exterior may be unremarkable, but just wait until you step inside the San Cristobal Tower, a property that is as much an exercise in classical refinement as it is in attentive service (butlers are on hand to attend to guests' individual needs, including bringing freshly squeezed juice in the morning). Chandeliers, gilded mirrors, and dark mahogany accents set an almost palatial tone throughout. The 127 rooms and 12 suites start at a whopping 484 square feet and go up to 3,767 square feet in the presidential suite. For such opulent surrounds, the drab fitness center and spa are somewhat of a let-down, but the Neptuno pool, outdoor gardens, and lighted tennis courts make up for such disappointment.
