Built in 1969, Cozumel's first luxury hotel is still one of its best and has undergone numerous renovations and facelifts. The 220 sleek, modernist rooms, all face a half-mile perfect semicircle of protected bay, and all feature a private balcony or terrace. There's a lavish 6,500-square-foot spa, Mandara, with Mayan temazcal treatments based on a traditional steam bath, as well as three restaurants. The Chiqui kids club offers year-round activities so parents have enough time for the tennis courts or a round of golf on the nearby course at Cozumel Country Club.
