Lake Tahoe

PunchStock
Tahoe’s activities are mostly outdoor-focused: skiing, boating, fishing, swimming, diving (underwater granite cliffs drop 1,000 feet), or hiking along 900-miles of trails (notably the 165-mile Tahoe Rim Trail and Nevada Shoreline Trail). Head inside for rich history – museums, pioneer cabins, grand 1890s estates – back outside for Washoe tribe sites.
