The North Palm Beach area of Southeast Florida hasn’t historically been ripe with options for out-of-town travelers -- but that’s all about to change come fall, with the opening of the Wyndham Grand Jupiter. The hotel boasts a prime location within Harbourside Place, a new $510 million development that promises impressive dining, cultural, retail, and entertainment offerings. And with the opening, of course, also comes a great deal.
The Property
Unlike the typical cookie cutter experience that comes to mind with the mention of a hotel chain, the Wyndham Grand has a decidedly boutique feel. The property is on the small side, with just 179 rooms, and offers an aesthetic that reflects the Jupiter area, from decor to food offerings (more below). With plenty of meeting areas, boardrooms, event spaces, and a 4,000 square-foot rooftop pool deck, it caters to both leisure and business travelers alike. Guest rooms range from standard doubles to a Presidential Suite, each furnished with pillowtop bedding, flatscreen televisions, an ergonomic work station, and an iPod speaker dock.
The Food
For travelers in search of fresh, local cuisine, the hotel’s three dining options deliver. The standout will undoubtedly be deep blu seafood grille, an award-winning sustainable seafood concept that hails from the Wyndham Grand in Orlando. A full menu for the restaurant is not yet available, but diners can likely expect a raw bar, sushi, fresh fish, steak, and and other dishes using organic, seasonal ingredients. During the day, the pool bar will serve up sandwiches and classic American fare, while at the lobby lounge, guests will find healthy breakfast offerings in the morning as well as cocktails, local craft beer, and light bites at night. And -- speaking of onsite local culture -- the hotel will also be selling Jupiter Donuts, whose local shop always has a line out the door in the mornings.
The Location
The hotel’s biggest draw is its location. Situated on the eastern bank of Jupiter’s Intracoastal Waterway, there’s beach access just a half mile away. What’s more, as part of Harbourside Place, guests are in close proximity to the 2.5 mile stretch of cafes, restaurants, art galleries, spas, retail outlets, 31-slip marina, and a brand new amphitheater that’s equipped to host food trucks, festivals, and concerts. The hotel will even offer suites with balconies facing the theater, which means you might just choose to enjoy a concert from the comfort of your hotel room.
The Deal
To celebrate the upcoming opening, Wyndham Grand Jupiter is offering a special opening rate of $179, extended from October to the end of November. The rate is a good 30 percent off prices later in the year. To book, click over to the Grand Opening Special tab in the results of the reservations system.
