Oceania Cruises Partners with CookingVacations.com
Luxury line Oceania has announced the launch of a series of culinary cruises aboard the company’s new ship, Marina. Rolled out in partnership with CookingVacations.com, the 10-night inaugural journey, “Cooking along the Mediterranean: Athens to Rome,” will depart on November 18, and include cooking lessons and gourmet cuisine both onboard and in port (rates from $3,998, includes airfare from 21 major cities; www.cookingvacations.com).

The ship features the only hands-on cooking school at sea, the Bon Appétit Culinary Center, as well as the intimate wine-tasting and pairing space, La Reserve by Wine Spectator. Additional culinary itineraries will be featured aboard Marina throughout 2012.

MSC Yacht Club to Feature International Celebrity Chefs
Upscale MSC Yacht Club is rolling out four culinary-themed itineraries this fall and winter 2011/2012 season that are set to be helmed by celebrity guest chefs from Spain, Italy, France, and the U.K. Expect each of the quartet of itineraries to offer culinary-minded cruisers samplings of world-class cuisine, cooking classes, and more. The scheduled voyages are as follows: MSC Fantasia on November 27 featuring Spanish cuisine with two-time Michelin star winner Chef Paco Roncero; MSC Splendida on January 7, 2012, with two-Michelin starred Chef Mauro Uliassi from Italy; MSC Splendida on January 28, 2012, with French Chef Gilles Epié, whose many accolades include winning a Best Chef award from Food & Wine magazine; and MSC Splendida on February 4, 2012, with celebrity Chef Antony Worrall Thompson from the U.K., star of the popular U.K. television show “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.” Rates start at $3,939 and include airfare from select gateways, ground transfers, one-night post hotel accommodations, and up to $250 shipboard credit. www.mscyachtclub.com
