This deal has expired, but be sure to check out our Top 25 deals of the week for savings on trips to destinations around the globe.

A few months back, I ducked into Gracias Madre, an incredible vegan Mexican restaurant in West Hollywood, and the hostess asked if I needed my car valet parked. I thanked her and said no, because I’d walked. The look of horror and bewilderment on her face was enough to illustrate how most Angelinos feel about walking in their fair and sunny city. That is to say: they don’t do it.

But there's a movement, however subtle, to get out and walk in Los Angeles. The too-adorable Farmer’s Daughter boutique hotel is the latest to jump -- pun intended -- on the walking trend with a new package.

Their Nobody Walks in LA offer gives guests two nights’ accommodation in one of their newly renovated Robin rooms, the use of vintage bikes, Metro cards with a guide for designing your own metro-centric bar crawl, and -- the best part -- a pair of very handsome SeaVees sneakers for each guest. The package starts at $500 -- a sweet deal when you consider that just the sneakers are valued at $78 per pair. It’s widely available during the week, and on weekends though this fall, with the booking code SHOE.

And, of course, guests can enjoy the hotel’s other stylishly quirky room perks: original art, a curated selection of books by Taschen, Nespresso machines, and custom-made furniture.
