Remember La Compagnie, the French airline that only offers business class seats? We highlighted a great summer promotion from the airline earlier this year -- and it's back again with even better prices for fall. For a limited time, you can fly round-trip, non-stop between New York and London for $2,500 for two (that's $1,250 each) or for $1,500 solo.
Like all good business class seats these days, La Compagnie's are fully lie-flat, and travelers enjoy Caudalie amenity kits along with meal service and premium liquor. The special fares are good for travel through December 15, but flights must be booked by October 31. Compared to the business fares from major carriers like Delta, Virgin America, and United -- all of which would cost $2,000 per person round-trip -- the La Compagnie promo can save each traveler as much as $750.
It is worth noting that travelers will leave from Newark International Airport and land at London's smaller Luton Airport (not Heathrow) -- around 35 miles from the city center. It's easy to get to the city center from there, though. Among other options, there's a 10-minute shuttle ride to the rail station, which is a 20-minute ride from central London. Considering the airfare savings, the roughly $40 per person rail costs will still let you come out ahead.
