This deal has expired, but be sure to check out our Top 25 deals of the week for savings on trips to destinations around the globe.

If you made travel plans to the northeast last month, you may have come across something called Hotel Week, a neat little promotion that happens each January in New York offering rooms at desirable hotels for as low as $100. Now, its success means that a variation of the program has migrated north, as Boston is set to launch its first-ever Hotel Week this month, from February 16-23. Appealing to families traveling during mid-winter school break, Hotel Week Boston is also throwing in add-ons like two-for-one tickets to the zoo, or discounted seats at Disney On Ice.

Of Boston's several charming boutique hotels, one of our favorites is the Revere, an art-filled, modern property located right next to the Common. Guests who show up during Hotel Week will be able to stay in one of the hotel's stylish rooms for 25 percent off the best available rate – $119.40 per night, after the discount– in addition to receiving a glass of champagne at check-in.

Along similar lines, the intimate, 60-room XV Beacon, which is housed inside a 1903 Beaux Arts building, is enticing guests with 30-percent-off discounts on all studio suites ($346.50 per night, after the discount), plus a bottle of red wine. In total, that's a savings of more than $150.

Meanwhile, for those looking for a bit of luxury, both the Four Seasons Boston and Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common are offering 25 percent off best available rates. Who knows? This could be the only time you'll be able to stay at a Ritz-Carlton for under $350.

Of course, if you're on a somewhat tighter budget, you can go lower than that. The Colonnade, for example, which recently wrapped up a multi-million-dollar renovation, is going for as low as $183.20, which is 20 percent off the original rate. The offer also includes internet and a 15 percent discount at the hotel's on-site restaurant, Brasserie Jo.

Looking to spend even less? Across the river, The Hyatt Regency Cambridge is going for just $149 per night, while the small but cozy Boxer Hotel is offering a room, treats from local bakery Sweet, breakfast for two, and free Wifi, for $159 per night.
