There’s a lot that we look forward to at the start of a new year: new places to discover, chances to visit old favorites, and Corinthia Hotels’ Annual Sale. This time around, the promotion offers 30 percent off rates at its London outpost and 50 percent off at its six other European locales for stays until December 31.

When booking directly through the website, guests can also receive a number of perks that vary depending on the property, including complimentary room upgrades, extended check-outs, and discounts for on-site bars and restaurants. Be sure to book by March 24.

Here’s a look at some available rates:

Corinthia Hotel London, which has one of our favorite chandeliers, is housed in a 130-year-old Victorian building that’s close to Trafalgar Square, Westminster, and Covent Garden. It’s better to take a trip in the winter or later in the summer, during which superior king rooms start from $519-$555 per night in January through April and in August. Stays in May, the first week of June, and September through December get slightly pricier, from $580. Want to go across the pond anytime between mid-June and the end of July? Rooms start from $701.

Perched atop a hill, Corinthia Hotel Prague affords views of the fairytale-like setting below. When you’re not taking in the sights, check out the hotel’s indoor pool, solarium, or several restaurants before retreating back to one of the 539 rooms. Trips through April may be the best bet, for which superior queen and twin rooms start from $87-$98. Through the rest of the year, we found rooms from $119-$141.

How about a trip to the Pearl of the Danube? Corinthia Hotel Budapest has more than enough to inspire design enthusiasts, with its Neoclassical façade and glass atrium. At this property, a minimum two-night stay is required to book the promotion. We found that November and December are the least expensive time for a visit, when rates for a deluxe king room start from $95-$106. If you'd rather travel there sooner, rates through April are from $111-$133. From May through October, rates nudge up to $150 and higher.

For a taste of Portugal, consider Corinthia Hotel Lisbon. Nearby, there’s the Lisbon Zoo and the Gulbenkian Museum, while the hotel is home to 518 rooms, an impressive spa, heated indoor pool, and three restaurants. Throughout the year -- with the exception of September 19-30 and October 1-5, when there's no availability -- superior twin and queen rooms start from $87-$110.

Guests of the Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg can enjoy the nearby Hermitage, St. Isaak’s Cathedral, and the Russian Museum, among other top sights. Views of Russia’s cultural center can be taken in from the 380-plus rooms, the hotel’s solarium, or its outdoor sun terrace. For stays now through March, and in late October and November, superior king or twin rooms start from $65-$85. There’s a bit of an increase to $85-$101 in April to the first week of May, and December, while prices start from $187 for the rest of May. For summer trips, nights in June, July, mid-August, and September go for $102-$125 and up.

If Malta's on your list, there are not one but two Corinthia properties to choose from. Corinthia Hotel St. George’s Bay overlooks the Mediterranean and has an outdoor pool area and beach that’s perfect for water sports, diving, and other fun-in-the-sun activities. We found superior twin and queen rooms starting from $92-$114 through March, as well as in November and December. In April, find rooms from $125 before they bump up to $196 and higher for deluxe sea view rooms. Between June and September, rates start from $207-240, but soften a tad in October to $169.

Also in Malta, Corinthia Hotel Palace and Spa is tucked into the lush greenery and colorful gardens of San Anton, which can be viewed from its 150 guestrooms. November may be the best time to go, when deluxe king and twin rooms start from $77. If your schedule doesn’t allow that, rates are from $93-$99 in January through March, and December. For the rest of the year, rates start from $120.
