Avengers, unite! Disney Cruise Line will debut a Marvel Day at Sea in fall 2017 on seven sailings of Disney Magic out of New York City.

During the daylong celebration, kids can meet heroes and villains — including Spider-Man, Captain America, and Thor — during scheduled meet-and-greets. There will also be special screenings of the new movie "Thor: Ragnarok" (set to premiere this fall) plus film marathons of other Marvel movies such as "Doctor Strange" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Disney XD shows including "Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man" and "Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy" will also play on the big screen by the pool.

Many Marvel-inspired activities will also run throughout the sailings as well. There will be trivia games for all levels — from kids to super fans — and costume parades and contests for all ages. Both adults and children can also participate in drawing classes, where you can learn how to draw characters such as Spider-Man and Groot in less than 20 minutes. The teen area will have special Marvel video games, and the library will be stocked with Marvel comic books. Each sailing will end with an epic deck party that includes character appearances, a DJ-led dance party, and fireworks.

The events will take place on seven- and eight-night sailings to the Bahamas leaving from New York on October 6, 14, and 28 as well as November 4, 11, and 18. Each sailing includes stops at both Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, and Port Canaveral, which is the closest port to Walt Disney World. If you would rather head north, there will also be Marvel Day at Sea events on one cruise to Canada, departing from New York on October 21 and stopping at two Nova Scotia ports as well as Prince Edward Island.

Even if you aren't on one of these special sailings, you can still hang with Marvel characters on Disney Magic. The Oceaneer Club has a Marvel-themed play area called “Avenger’s Academy,” where Iron Man's suit, Thor's hammer, and Captain America's shield are on display. The kids club also receives regular visits from Captain America even on non-themed sailings.

This isn’t the first time Disney Cruise Line has thrown a character day of epic proportions. Last year, the line launched Star Wars Day at Sea on Disney Fantasy. On these cruises, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, and the whole galactic gang throw a similar deck party and teach lightsaber skills during Jedi lessons. You can also book the Star Wars Day at Sea on select seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings from January to April 2017.
