It's not too late to squeeze one last vacation out of summer. Whether you crave a hotel within walking distance of the beach, a property with onsite desert hiking trails, or somewhere primed for museum hopping, here are some great deals for the long Labor Day weekend.

From $118: Purity Springs Resort in Madison, NH
Set on 75 acres of spring-fed water, the lake at this resort provides ample opportunity for kayaking, canoeing, waterskiing, and more. Over Labor Day weekend, two-night stays in a standard room are from $129 per night and three-night stays are knocked down to $118 per night. The special also includes breakfast, and guests are welcome to join the Breakfast Cookout on Rocky Point on Labor Day morning. Call 603-367-8896 for reservations.

From $125: The Domain Hotel in Sunnyvale, CA
Boutique hotels in Silicon Valley are few and far between, which makes this 136-room property so unique. You’ll be near hiking, the coast, wineries, and attractions in nearby San Jose (like the Winchester Mystery House, the Tech Museum of Innovation, Computer History Museum, and Japantown). A Caltrain station 1.5 miles away gets you to San Francisco with ease. The Labor Day package includes 20 percent off normal rates and is good for stays September 2-9. For a three-night stay starting September 4, atrium king rooms average out to around $125 per night.

From $135: Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia in Scottsdale, AZ
If you can stay three nights over Labor Day weekend, the savings are huge with the Linger Longer offer, which slices 20 percent off three-night stays. Pay just $135 per night in a room with a king bed and camelback view at this Moroccan-style resort that features a walkway modeled after the Alhambra in Granada, Spain. Beat the desert heat by splashing in three pools, or dig in at five restaurants, including tapas at Prado.

From $135: The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village in Cape Coral, FL
Guests staying at this resort have access to free bike rentals and free water taxi to Fort Myers. There are three pools -- one's a lagoon pool and another is for doing laps -- and tennis courts, bocce ball, horseshoes, and more. We found traditional and deluxe rooms with a pair of double beds priced from $135 September 6-7.

From $135: JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, AZ
The Coast to Coast Summer rates are big discount off higher season rates you'd find in January and February, which can up to at least $289 per night. This holiday weekend, rates dip as low as $135 per night for a room with one king or two double beds and mountain or drive views. During the unofficial end to summer, guests can take part in Friday night’s Hula Hoop Jam, Glow in the Dark Golf, and a Dive-In Movie. On property are four restaurants, a water slide, several pools, three golf courses, a spa, and children’s splash area.

From $215: Lido Beach Resort in Sarasota, Florida
Come winter, rates at this beachfront property on Lido Key, with a 300-foot white-sand beach, soar to $339 per night and up. But for Labor Day, you can snag a $215 rate for a kitchenette and king bed room, which has a full-size fridge, dishwasher and stove, with flatware and dishes. Don't feel like cooking? Grab a bite at Lido Beach Grille or sip cocktails at the newly renovated Tiki Bar. Bonus: Dogs are welcome here.

From $259: South Seas Island Resort in Captiva Island, Florida
This hotel's Fall Getaway promotion, available through December 17, includes a $100 resort credit and daily breakfast for two, plus a coupon book for local attractions and restaurants valued at $250. (Note that the stay must be a minimum of two nights.) Labor Day weekend offers rates from $259 for a one-bedroom tennis villa, which has a full kitchen. To shop local boutiques, hop on the trolley, or take a yoga class on the lawn. There’s also a spa and four restaurants on site, including a retro-themed ice-cream parlor.

From $263: Eden Roc Resort in Miami Beach, Florida
Celebrating the end of summer, the Stay MIA offer slashes 25 percent off regular rates and includes daily breakfast for two, complimentary drinks for two upon arrival, waived resort fee ($21 value), two beach loungers and umbrella daily, complimentary fitness class, free WiFi, and $25 towards a 50-minute spa treatment. (A two-night minimum stay is required.) Check in Saturday and check in Monday for rates from $263 for an intracoastal room with a king or two queen beds.
