With its stunning and greatly expanded fleet of luxury cruise ships, Silversea Cruises takes guests on all-inclusive voyages to all seven continents. The cruise line’s vessels include both decadent ships accommodating 392 to 728 guests and smaller but equally luxurious expedition ships designed to explore more off-the-beaten-path regions. As demand grew for luxury adventure itineraries, Silversea renovated its 254-guest Silver Cloud and moved it into its expedition fleet in November 2017, a few months after the highly anticipated 596-guest Silver Muse entered service. 

Over the next six years, Silversea, which was sold to the Royal Caribbean Group in 2018, launched Muse siblings Silver Moon and Silver Dawn, as well as 220-guest expedition ship Silver Endeavour and 100-guest Silver Origin, the latter designed specifically for cruising the Galapagos Islands. In 2023, the company debuted the 728-guest Silver Nova, an exciting new class of ship with innovative design features, to be followed by Silver Ray in summer 2024.

What We Love

Amazing Spas: Silversea spas are roomy, relaxing enclaves with excellent service not always found at sea. Its newest ships, Silver Dawn, Silver Nova, and 2024’s Silver Ray, feature Otium, a lavish spa and wellness concept inspired by the traditions of ancient Rome. Guests are offered curated signature experiences involving relaxation, treatments, and in-suite dining experiences. Even older ships get the pampering right. Silver Spirit’s massive spa includes a ceramic-tiled thermal suite with heated lounge chairs and a private hammam chamber for Turkish baths.

Great In-Room Choices:  The line gives you what you need for a good night’s sleep: Luxe linens, multiple pillow choices, and a single-malt nightcap. The butler also stocks your in-suite minibar with whatever you like to sip. And in the morning, you can order Vitamix smoothies, eggs Benedict, or a bacon-and-spinach soufflé from the room service menu.

Best Known For

All-Inclusive Rates: Everything’s included (even airfare, door-to-door transportation, gratuities, and one shore excursion per port), except for a cover charge at the intimate French restaurant La Dame, where dishes are gilded with osetra caviar, foie gras, and edible gold leaf. Silversea’s  S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) program, available on its newest ships (Silver Moon, Silver Dawn, Silver Nova, and Silver Ray), celebrates the regional cuisines where you’re cruising, with a dedicated restaurant, S.A.L.T. Kitchen, offering menus featuring locally-sourced ingredients. 

Fabulous Destinations: A truly global line, Silversea ships visit more than 900 destinations and are sized right to slip into smaller, less-visited ports of call. Its lengthier itineraries cover great distances, such as Australia to India or Dubai to Cape Town, while its expedition vessels venture to Antarctica, the Arctic and Greenland, the Amazon River, and other more remote locales.

Who It's Best For

Sophisticated Travelers: Yes, a Silversea cruise is a pricey vacation, but the inclusive rates offer good value, and the daily pampering by English-trained butlers is a memorable indulgence.

Don't Say We Didn't Warn You

You'll Find Simple Entertainment: This isn’t the line for you if you want nonstop song-and-dance numbers. Don't expect flashy musical revues or Broadway shows. The evening entertainment consists of cabaret-style or classical performances, low-key live music, or a DJ for dancing.

It’s Not Kid-Friendly: While Silversea does permit children to cruise on its ships (in the same or connecting stateroom), there is no special programming or entertainment for kids.
