Expert Review

This place started out in 1940 as the Café Gabriele, an artists' magnet in the fashionable Brera district, and later became Café Resentin, a grappa bar, in the 1980s. Pop singer Eros Ramazzotti and partners reopened it as a bistro and aperitivo bar in 2008, and added four fashionable suites upstairs from the restaurant. They are inspired by British bed-and-breakfasts (although the Fiori Oscuri room has more of a Parisian flair), and named after the main roads of the neighborhood. Expect warm brown and cream tones in all units. Double beds in the Fiori Chiari and Fiori Oscuri rooms can be separated into two twin beds, while the Madonnina room has antiques and is the smokers' room. Breakfast, with fresh fruit and warm brioches, is served in the bar, and the restaurant of the same name is open daily for lunch and dinner.
