Thoughtful Design: The Main Restaurant, with a two-story glass wine tower at its center, is one of the most beautiful, contemporary spaces at sea. The design of Eclipse’s bars and lounges also adds to guests’ enjoyment — the retro-inspired Quasar disco takes a page from "Austin Powers" with its 1960s-style swinging chairs and the Martini Bar features an ice-topped bar and masterful flair bartenders — while the theater looks and feels like, well, a real theater. But our favorite design aspect, added at the advice of a panel of female travelers, is the shaving bar in stateroom showers. Yeah, baby.

Great Dining Options: There are four complimentary dining venues on board. And for an extra fee, you can order handmade rolls and sashimi at Sushi on 5, savor top-quality steak and seafood at Tuscan Grille, splurge on French fine dining in Murano, or enjoy entertaining animation on your tabletop as each course is served in Le Petit Chef. Guests who book an AquaSpa stateroom can dine for free at Blu, which focuses on clean, healthy cuisine, while those who book into The Retreat (for suite guests) can dine at Luminae, which features signature dishes by Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud.

The Solarium: This glass-roofed, adults-only oasis is home to a pool, hot tubs, a bar, and the Spa Café, where smoothies and other light bites are available throughout the day.

Couples: There is a sexiness about this ship that adults ages 40 and up looking for some downtime together will find appealing.

Kids Will Be Bored: The ship has a kids program and facilities, but they aren't particularly impressive. And family attractions are lacking.
