Between a rotating roster of bedfellows, it’s impossible to quarantine every single germ in a hotel room unless the space is wall-to-wall tile, and the clean-up involves industrial disinfectant and fire hoses spewing boiling water. In the age of being even more cautious, here's where and how you can perform a quick cleanliness sweep to bring you some peace of mind.

The Room Door

Open the door to your room with your elbow, eliminating the need to come into contact with this high touch point surface. If you must touch the door knob, sanitize or wash your hands (at least 20 seconds) thoroughly upon entering the room.
