Getting to Cape Town


Cape Town International Airport (CPT) is about 20 minutes by car from the city. Most U.S. flights connect first in Johannesburg (JNB) or Durban (DUR).


Only Delta Airlines and South African Airways fly direct to South Africa (Johannesburg). Both fly daily from New York and Atlanta. Airlines that connect Johannesburg with Cape Town include South African Airways, British Airways, and Air Namibia. 

Flight Times

Total travel time to Cape Town is about 18 hours from the East Coast and 24 hours from the West Coast (the flight from Jo’berg to Cape Town is about 50 minutes).
