Stratton Mountain Resort
It’s all about timing. To avoid crowds and inflated prices, we recommend the period between high and low seasons when the weather is fine, places are still open and happy to welcome travelers, and you can explore a destination at your own pace. ShermansTravel experts call this magical time and space continuum the Sweet Spot.

When to go to Stratton

Peak Season: Late November to February

One of the most snowboard-friendly ski resorts in the country (it was the first to open its lifts and trails to snowboarders back in 1983), Stratton is also known as a family mountain and the December and February breaks are filled with little ones.

Off Season: April to mid-October

There is plenty to do at Stratton during the off-season, including horseback riding, kayaking, and fly-fishing. Plus, there are sightseeing gondola rides, a tennis school, a golf school, and a kid’s summer camp.

Sweet Spot: March

Late in the season, the days are longer, and the deals abound.
