Celebrate National Skyscraper Day at NYC's Woolworth Building

How are you celebrating National Skyscraper Day tomorrow? Most of us here at ShermansTravel will take the festive step of… coming to work. Given that our offices are perched high above Herald Square in New York City, it’s an easy enough thing to do.

More distinctly iconic buildings in town, however, have other plans for guests. Take the historic Woolworth Building, for example, which is leading a special 75-minute lobby tour tomorrow. This tour in particular allows for an up-close-and-personal examination of the hand-painted murals on the mezzanine level.

But even if you’re not passing through NYC tomorrow, you don’t have to miss out. After years of being closed to the public due to security concerns, the building began offering regular lobby tours just this year. You can spend 30, 60, or 90 minutes learning about the building’s history and construction. Tours cost from $15-$45 and must be reserved in advance.
